The principal office of this organization shall be located in the city of Jewett, Leon County, Texas. The organization may have other offices as the affairs of the organization may require from time to time.
This Heggins-Bolden-Goodwin-Thomas Family Reunion is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under the section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The business activity for said organization is as follows: To make a positive difference in the lives of family members, seniors, and other community members.
The specific objectives and purposes of this Heggins-Bolden-Goodwin-Thomas Family Reunion shall be to: reunite family members annually to celebrate our family heritage, enhance the growth and development of family unity, making financial scholarships, and provide a forum for descendants to learn about their genealogy and lineage.
